“Perfect Day”

Lou Reed, ex leader del Velvet Underground e uno dei più grandi innovatori del rock negli ultimi decenni, ci ha lasciato.
Newyorkese di Brooklyn, Lou Reed, vero nome Lewis Allen Reed, ha vissuto la scena della Grande Mela al fianco di altri grandi personaggi del tempo, primo fra tutti quell’Andy Warhol che produsse il primo disco dei Velvet Underground nel 1967. Era il “banana album”, chiamato così per la banana della copertina disegnata dallo stesso Warhol.
                                                                 

                                                                            

Un altro grande album è New York, del 1989, che pone fine a una pausa di qualche anno.
Pare sia stata la morte di Andy Warhol, nel 1987, a spingerlo a tornare alla musica, per raccontare nel migliore dei modi la sua città, ed è ormai una leggenda della musica mondiale.
